I’m 27! As my husband likes to remind me, that’s very close to 30. Sometimes I still don’t feel like a grown-up. I probably call my mom once a week for advice about something.

Still, I’m learning a lot. I’m pretty sure that’s what life is: asking for advice, flailing around and faking it until you figure things out, and learning from those experiences.…

I Quit Smoking One Year Ago Today

It’s the anniversary of the day I quit smoking one year ago.

I am healthier now than I have been since I was a teenager, and not just my lungs. My body absorbs and retains nutrients better. I can exercise regularly without difficulty.

My husband and I agreed that I would quit smoking for one year before we would consider having a baby, and that time is coming soon.…

They’re all words for people who, as multipotentialite Emilie Wapnick (check out her site) describes, “have no ‘one true calling’ the way specialists do. Being a multipotentialite is our destiny. We have many paths and we pursue all of them, either sequentially or simultaneously (or both).”
